Dear Be {You} tiful Soul,

Today my heart is heavy for you, for your family and friends, for our nation and all that is taking place in our society today.

Anger,

frustration,

hurt,

confusion

and fear are at the forefront of our minds.

Hurt and confusion when those we love are losing their lives here in our own country, not by the hand of terrorists, but by the hand of our own people.

Anger lashing out with more anger in response to loss.

Inconsolable grief and loss filling the hearts of our people.

Pain, heartache, and sorrow overcoming our people.

For some these incidents taking place may seem far away from us. For others fear for there own lives, their children and loved ones rises up.

We all have a responsibility to the solution. We are the solution. We can be the hands of the solution.

Love

Last night as I was laying down to sleep, my eyes filled with tears for our nation, for our people, not just your people but our people. For far too long we have brought separation between one another.

Our people

All people in our nation are our people.
If we spent the time to pray for our nation, for our people, really pray, not just saying we are going to pray, but pray, we will be amazed at the beautiful things God will do in all of us.

Pray for our people of all races.

Pray for our men and women who serve as police officers.

Pray for our men and women in our military.

Pray for solution and resolution to replace anger.

Pray for healing for those who have lost their loved ones.

Pray for healing for our nation.

Pray for dividing walls to be torn down.

Pray for leaders to rise up in our todays such as those of our yesterdays like Martin Luther King Jr.
Pray for peace in our nation.

Pray for a movement of God’s pure love to touch the lives of all in our country.

Pray for the moving of God’s presence in our nation, in our people, and in our government.

God’s word tells us,

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” – 2 Chron. 7:14 (NIV)

This is our responsibility, to pray, really pray. The kind where we spend time in the presence of God, waiting on Him, interceding for our nation, repenting and not defending, but pure humble Jesus prayers.
Finally, we need to recognize the tool of fear for what it is. When fear creeps into our lives we react in many different forms. For some it’s to fight back and for others it’s to run.

Let us face fear with the greatest tool we have, the Love of Jesus. Not attacking, not defending, but loving as Jesus loved us.

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” – 2 Tim 1:7 (NKJV)
Today my heart and prayers are with each of you, with Our People and Our Nation.

Will you join me in prayer today?

Blessings dear friends.

With love, Kristin
